Ardmore is also ideally situated for exploring slightly further afield to places such as Dunvegan Castle, home of the chieftain of the Clan MacLeod, the magnificent Cuillin mountains, Portree - the island's capital - or even for a day trip to the Outer Hebrides by ferry sailing from Uig.
